'Naive-r' times

So yes, I’ve been away but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t thinking about every single one of you every moment of the day… (ok maybe not every moment but I’m trying to be accommodating)… So what the hell have I been up to? Here’s a round up of the last 6 month-ish…

Holiday in Greece with The Lady and friends (Santorini and Crete, Perissa is heaven – go there if you know what’s good for you)
Holiday in the US with The Lady to celebrate our birthday’s which lie on the same day which is awesome coz then I’ll never forget (Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego etc)
Found a friend who works for Q magazine so scored VIP tickets to Reverend and the Makers, Sonic Youth and Muse (don’t remember leaving any of these events due to free booze, it happens.)
Gigs: Reverend and the Makers, Sonic Youth, Muse, Green Day, Nine Inch Nails, MuM, Marilyn Manson, The Mars Volta (on Monday), Rob Zombie (in Phoenix), Mogwai, FourTet and a few more I can’t remember right now.
Grew a moustache for Movember – my levels of AWESOME went through the roof in November…
Fell down my ladder and messed up my thumb in process. Yes, I was wasted… Yes, I’m a dumbass.
Bought a new laptop, a nice shiny MacBook Pro – I hold it against my chest when I sleep, it keeps me warm.
‘Discovered’ a new band called Cold War Kids… Insanely awesome New York band… Hit that.

It’s been a busy 6 months, how the hell have you been?

I just realized that Lars Von Trier’s latest masterpiece is getting unleashed to the world today and I HAVE MY TICKET minions! I’m going to the first London screening of it RIGHT NOW in Soho!

Did you enjoy that? Didn’t you feel like your minds was literally twisting inside your little skulls? Hmmm I love this man, responsible for one of my favourite films DOGVILLE (Trailer HERE).

Right, I’m off now (summer hours gets me off at 3pm) and then I’m going stroll down to the National Gallery to see the latest landscape exhibit (COROT to MONET – more HERE) then Ill head off to the Corzun Theatre to take in the film – THEN Ill head home for a Battlestar Gallatica marathon THEN tomorrow I’m heading to The Rockstar’s place in Twickenham to take in the Springbok victory – GO BOKKE!!!

PS: Fuck, my boss just told me I have to go to Dublin next week! That’s the 3rd (third! as in one two THREE) time I’m going to Dublin, ALONE! Such a bloody boring place… U2, leprechauns and Guinness… That’s it… Ok Guinness is cool but to have fucking Bono singing at you in every pub, shop vendor – even the buskers sing bloody U2 songs. Yes, yes I’ve lost my edge in the last couple of weeks… I’ve noticed this as I perused my ‘blog stats’, noticing the huge decline in readers (boo to you fuckers!) and I can only say that I blame a little person named Roo… I’ve been a bit distracted, but I’m back on my game now.

To celebrate this realignment onto the straight and very narrow minded Mudisland guise I went out last night to B@1 with the Aussie clan in Covent Garden… I rocked up at work still drunk this morning… To give you an idea how drunk I was this morning: I gave The Photographer a call to let him know what I was wearing on this fine summers day, you know, just to let him know (pink polo, black & white striped trousers and white plimsoles – yes, I rule) – I only ever phone The Photographer in the middle of the night when I’m at Walkie, not at 8:45am on my way to work… Good form if I do say so myself!

Right, and I just realized I’m off tonight to see my mate Rob’s band Cartel in Islington tonight… another flippin night out… another trip to Major’s dodgy chicken at 1am I can guarantee you!

Alright, after all that I think you deserve to know the Springbok line up for Saturday’s war with the All Blacks in Bloem… Behold – The God XV
